Chicago White Sox

The Chicago White Sox are a Major League Baseball team based in Chicago, Illinois. The White Sox play in the American League Central Division, and their home park is U.S. Cellular Field. They are familiarly known as simply "The Sox", or more locally the "South Siders". They are one of two MLB teams in Chicago, the other being the Chicago Cubs. Both are charter members of their respective leagues. In 2005, the White Sox ended the Curse of the Black Sox and erased 88 years of hardships by sweeping the Houston Astros in the 2005 World Series.
